神奈川県小田原市を拠点に開催される西湘映画祭（SeishoCinemaFes）は、地域密着型のインディペンデント映画祭として、若手からベテランまで幅広い映像作家の作品を上映してきました。観客投票と審査員投票によって各賞が決定されるのも特徴で、作品と観客の距離が近い映画祭です。
The Seisho Cinema Festival (SeishoCinemaFes), held in Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, is a community-based independent film festival that has showcased works by a wide range of filmmakers, from emerging talents to established directors. One of its distinctive features is that awards are determined through both audience voting and jury evaluation, creating a close connection between the films and their viewers.

EN Film Fest とは、EN Film Fest は、世界中のクリエイターが参加できるオンライン短編映画祭です。映画祭の名前は日本語の「縁（えん）」という言葉から来ていて、「作品と観客、新しい出会いやつながりを生む場」というコンセプトで運 営されています。
EN Film Fest is an online short film festival open to creators from around the world.The name of the festival comes from the Japanese word “en” (縁), meaning connection or bond, and it is run with the concept of being a place where works and audiences come together to create new encounters and relationships.

湯けむりグランプリ & 審査員賞 W受賞
第11回あわら湯けむり映画祭は福井県あわら市で3月8日、授賞式を迎え、岩松あきら監督の短編『愛の挨拶』が湯けむりグランプリに輝きました。全国から応募された短編映画が温泉旅館など5会場で回遊する参加型イベントとして人気を博しました。田中光敏監督賞など多彩な受賞作が生まれ、インディ作家の登竜門として過去に『カメラを止めるな!』の上田慎一郎監督も優秀賞を受賞した実績があります。
The 11th Awara Yukemuri Film Festival held its awards ceremony on March 8 in Awara City, Fukui Prefecture, where director Akira Iwamatsu’s short film Love’s Greeting won the festival’s top prize, the Yukemuri Grand Prix.
The festival has gained popularity as a participatory event in which short films submitted from across Japan are screened in a “circuit-style” program across five venues, including traditional hot spring inns throughout the town.
A wide variety of awards were presented, including the Director Mitsutoshi Tanaka Award, highlighting diverse works by emerging filmmakers. The festival is also known as a gateway for independent creators; in the past, Shinichiro Ueda, director of One Cut of the Dead, received the Excellence Award at the festival.

本映画祭は、イギリスの名門「レインダンス映画祭（Raindance Film Festival）」の協力を受けて運営されており、日本から世界へ羽ばたくインディーズ映画人を応援するプラットフォームとして位置づけられています。英語圏を中心とした海外クリエイターとのネットワークも強く、国際的な評価につながる登竜門のひとつとされています。
It is an international independent film festival held in Daikanyama, Tokyo. 新潟の市民映画館シネ・ウインドで開催される、全国の自主映画作家たちによる映像の祭典です。主催は市民団体「にいがた映画塾」。プロ・アマ問わず、自由な発想で制作された短編映画を全国から募集し、毎年12月、新潟の地でスクリーン上映を行います。
応募作品は最長40分以内、ジャンルやテーマを問わず、一次審査を通過した作品が当日シネ・ウインドで上映されます。上映後には観客投票による「観客賞」、審査員による「グランプリ」「審査員特別賞」などが発表され、来場者・制作者・映画ファンが一体となって映画文化を盛り上げる映画祭として親しまれています。
The Niigata Indies Movie Festival – “Show Us Your Film!” is a celebration of independent cinema held at the Niigata City’s community-run theater, Cine Wind.Organized by the civic group Niigata Film School (Niigata Eiga Juku), the festival invites short films from across Japan — both professional and amateur filmmakers — that are created with free and original ideas. Every December, selected works are screened on the big screen in Niigata.Submitted films must be within 40 minutes in length and may cover any genre or theme.After an initial selection process, the chosen films are screened at Cine Wind during the festival.Following the screenings, awards such as the Grand Prize, Special Jury Prize, and Audience Award (voted by attendees) are announced, making this event a beloved annual gathering where filmmakers, audiences, and movie lovers come together to celebrate the joy of cinema.

About the Japan Image Grand Prix
The Japan Image Grand Prix is a comprehensive competition for visual arts organized by the Japan Art Center Foundation (headquartered in Kobe and Tokyo).It serves as an open platform for all creators aspiring to express themselves through film and visual media — regardless of professional or amateur status.A defining feature of the competition is its complete freedom of theme, genre, production year, and nationality.
Entries are evaluated through three stages: the first screening, public screening, and final review.Through encounters with audiences, the festival aims to discover new talent and provide a place for creative exchange and artistic growth.

Held in Nasu Town, Tochigi Prefecture, the Nasu Short Film Festival is one of Japan’s few international film festivals dedicated exclusively to short films. Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025, the festival is organized by the Nasu Film Commission (NPO) and has long served as a gateway for emerging filmmakers from around the world.
Each year, the festival gathers a diverse range of short films from across the globe and honors outstanding works through its international competition, the “Nasu Award.”

メールにてお誘い頂き、在バンクーバー日本国総領事館へ表敬訪問に行って参りました。総領事長を始め職員の方々に、カナダ、バンクーバーについて詳しく教えて頂きました。
We visited the Consulate-General of Japan in Vancouver for a courtesy visit after receiving an invitation by e-mail. The Consul General and other staff members gave me detailed information about Canada and Vancouver.

World Premiere of “Love Greeting” Q&A
「愛の挨拶」ワールドプレミア上映は、2024年11月16日にScotiabank Theatre Vancouver - Aud 4で行われました。映画のクライマックスでは、客席から「ウァッ」と驚きの声が上がり、本作品を楽しんでいただけたことが伝わりました。上映後、Q＆Aでは、観客から本作品の物語の着想や演技の苦労などの質疑があり盛り上がりました。
The world premiere screening of “Love's Greeting” took place on November 16, 2024 at Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver - Aud 4. The climax of the film elicited a surprised “oooh” from the audience, indicating that they enjoyed this film. After the screening, the Q&A session was lively, with audience members asking questions about the inspiration for the film's story and the challenges of acting.

「愛の挨拶」の上映前には、エミー賞を獲得した真田広之さんがプロデュース兼主演を務めた「将軍」チームのワークショップ・プログラムもあり、このパーティには「将軍」チームも参加されていて、たくさんクリエーターの方たちとコミュニケーションがとれて盛り上がりました。
Before the screening of “Love of Greeting”, there was a workshop program for the “Shogun” team, produced by and starring Emmy Award winner Hiroyuki Sanada. The “Shogun” team was also at this party and had a great time communicating with many creators.

授賞式にはドレスコードがあり、私たちはビシッとスーツで決めて参加。ただ、会場入り口では、ポップコーンが配布され、それを頬張りながら式に参加してくださいというカジュアルなスタイル。式の合間には、スタンダッドコメディアンのパフォーマンスもあり、とても充実した2時間でした。
There was a dress code for the awards ceremony, and We attended in crisp suits. However, popcorn was distributed at the entrance of the venue, and the audience was invited to join the ceremony while chewing on it in a casual style. In between the ceremony, there was a performance by a stand-up comedian, and it was a very fulfilling two hours.

最後のパーティには、バンクーバー・アジアン映画祭の参加者たちが集結。フロアでは、多数のクリエーターたちや映画祭スタッフたちとの交流が次から次へとめまぐるしく繰り広げられ、熱気に満ちあふれていました。
やっぱりこうした出会いの数々が映画祭に参加する醍醐味ですね。クリエーターたち同士で連絡先を交換し合い、映画祭後も互いの映画をネット配信で鑑賞して、感想をシェアすることになっています。
The final party of the festival brought together the participants of the Vancouver Asian Film Festival. The floor was filled with the excitement and excitement of the many creators and festival staff members as they mingled with one another in a fast-paced environment.
These kinds of encounters are the best part of attending a film festival, after all. The creators exchanged contact information with each other, and after the festival, we would watch each other's films on the Internet and share our impressions.
